It could have been a redo from last week. It rained buckets while driving down through Providence and only let up just as the pack assembled in this familiar dirt lot. Sorrounded by lawn waste and shite, it was not unusual to find putrid smells. It was then I noticed Rusty, WIPOS and OOzing already parked as I arrived, and wondered if it was the company or ambience. Crabby offered us a beer and said, "If this is it, we're going to have a lot of beer left over." Soon, Cracker and Just Emma arrived just as 6:30 neared and there would be 2 less beers for the rest of us.

The rain started again and we were off looking for flour. The first Check let us straight along familiar trails and over a series of bridges. The next Check had Rusty going left and I found trail going right, that took me out to the main trunkline trail, then left to where an arrow pointed left into the woods again. I was on fire, and leading the pack, I followed trail out over a few more bridges, over streams leading to Matapurcetti Brook. Where just before it empties into Melville Pond, Rusty popped infront of me, the shortcutting B'stard and he found the Beer Near mark at the water falls.

I thought I saw a flour mark on the other side, but followed trail downstream, on a few more marks. Meanwhile, Rusty had climbed down the waterfall and climbing up the other side, found the 'B' beside a picnic bench. By the time I climbed up the bank, he was already enjoing a Captain's Daughter. I grabbed one, and we waited for the pack to arrive. It was all of 15 minutes to get here, and it would take another 15 before the main pack arrived. Soon, WIPOS and PG came upon the BN and we called them over to B.

True Trail continued back out to the Trunk Line towards the Boat Yard, then left around Melville Pond and back along trails to 'B'. When the entire pack was at the Beer Stop, there was much rejoicing.

The run back was short and we circled up at the cars. With rain falling, our Hare pulled out some clear umbrellas to protect our coffures and we made our comments. Most were positive: short, beer, rain, shiggy, bimbos, snacks, etc. What's not to like? The run was rated a positive 6.9 and she drank her DD and sang, "The girl from Baltimore." Next Backsliders, so CS stepped back in and ansered the question of the difference between a shooting star and strip show correctly, as AQ had clued her in already. She failed the other questions, and drank and sang, "When I was a little girl." Just Emma was named, 'Blue Job Lips' and after drinking gave a un-nun joke. Then we travelled to Fieldstones to finish the night, and all were delighted to have our Hare join us. We miss AQ, but CS is special.
